Today in the Ethiopian calendar

–

The Ethiopian calendar is the official calendar of Ethiopia. It has 12 months of 30 days, followed by a short 13th month, Pagumen, of 5 days — or 6 in a leap year, which comes every four years. The year begins on 11 September (12 September in the year before a Gregorian leap year), and its year numbers run about seven to eight years behind the Gregorian calendar.

Ethiopian dates here follow the calendar's fixed rules. Religious holidays such as Genna (Christmas) and Timkat are not listed, because published dates differ by a day in some years.
